Who?
The author
Vanessa Able was born on the island of Jersey in the English Channel in 1977.
After completing a Fine Art masters’ degree in London, she left for Istanbul where she worked as editor in chief of Time Out magazine. After moving to Mexico City in 2008, she began to freelance as a writer for The New York Times, Esquire and National Geographic Traveler.
In 2010, she bought a Tata Nano and drove 10,000 km around India. Never Mind the Bullocks, the chronicle of her journey, is her first book.
The illustrator
Hiromi Asakura (Suzuki), graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art & design BA Graphic design. She currently lives in Tokyo where she set up her own design company, The Bob Foundation, with her husband Mitsunori in 2003.
The Bob Foundation's aim is to communicate, share and explore their interests with people through art work, design, drawing, film, photography, text and anything else that present possibilities. They are continually dreaming, thinking and doing, and therefore their works are always on going.
